Immunity and Preventative Health Care for busy lifestyles

Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Slimbridge

6.30pm for 7.15pm

£10/£15

Sally Whitman, Gloucestershire based Nutrition Consultant and Lecturer, will talk on the subject of Immunity and Preventative Health Care for Busy Lifestyles. The venue will be the wonderful Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust - perfect for a summer's evening.
Following her very well received talk to WiM in 2002 on Stress and Fatigue, Sally will focus on the early warning signs of lowered immunity / resistance and the postive steps that we can all take to prevent health problems now and in the future. The talk will touch on heart disease and cancer prevention as well as day to day infection, and will also cover some of the useful diagnostic tests for early risk assessment which she uses in her private practice.
Following a lengthy career in senior management in both the public and the private sector, Sally Whitman retrained as a Nutrition Consultant and established her own business, Blackberry Nutrition. She sees clients in clinics both in Cheltenham and Gloucester, and deals with every kind of health problem. She is also a regular lecturer on food and health to a wide range of audiences, and gives talks to businesses on how to improve the performance and attendance record of their staff through nutritional support and advice.

Performance Coaching - How it Works

Chargrove House Business Centre, Main Road, Shurdington, Cheltenham

6.30pm

£7.50/£10.00

There is a lot of talk and activity in the area of coaching, but what is it really? There are Life, Business, Executive and Sports coaches plus Mentors, Sponsors, Advocates - and how does therapy fit in?
Ned Skelton runs a business training people in coaching skills. He is an executive coach, and he coaches managers to develop their leadership skills. He is also a key member of the coaching team for the Great Britain Dragon Boat Team. He continues to train in psychotherapy but has no plans to become a practicing therapist.
Ned will quickly lead you through this fascinating maze to identify some fundamental skills and approaches that help people perform better: through improved self awareness, clear personal goals and an understanding of their own patterns of behavior. This in turn can lead to more effective team working through a better understanding of boundaries, real commitment to goals and honest feedback. Please come along and bring your questions.
