About this Organisation	Women in Management is an organisation within the Chartered Management Institute. As the champion of management, the Chartered Management Institute shapes and supports the managers of tomorrow, helping them deliver results in a dynamic world. The Institute helps set and raise standards in management, encouraging development to improve performance. Women in Management has an important role to play in addressing key issues affecting women managers. It also aims to increase the influence of women, in public life and the community, by encouraging members to apply for public appointments, non-executive directorships, school governorships and high-profile voluntary roles. There are 14 Women in Management networks across the UK, working closely with the Institute to provide opportunities for members, including training, development, careers support, networking and business start-up advice. The Gloucestershire branch of Women in Management runs events throughout the year, including lectures, talks and one-day workshops, which provide opportunities for learning, networking and some fun. Events are open to members and non-members of WiM and men as well as women are welcome at all events.
